MEAC MEN’S BRACKET SET FOR 2010 TOURNAMENT

Virginia Beach, Va., March 4, 2010 – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) announced the men’s pairings for the 2010 MEAC Basketball Tournament following the conference’s final regular-season matchups Tuesday night. For the third straight season the Morgan State Bears earned the No. 1 seed and an early round bye to compete for the tournament title and an automatic berth to the NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., March 4, 2010- The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) announced its women’s pairings for the 2010 MEAC Basketball Tournament, March 9-13 at the Joel Coliseum in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. North Carolina A&T will enter the tournament as the top seed after concluding the regular-season with a 14-2 mark in MEAC play.

BOSSIER CITY, LA – The pairings have been set in next week’s Farmers Insurance SWAC Basketball Tournament as the Southern Jaguars will be the top women’s seed and the Jackson State Tigers will be the top men’s seed.
