WSSU Athletics Adds Trevin Goodwin As
Assistant Sports Information Director

Winston-Salem State University
Department of Athletics officials
announced on Tuesday that Trevin
Goodwin has joined the staff as the
Assistant Director of Sports Information
as of January 7, 2007.
Goodwin joins the Winston-Salem State
University as the Assistant Sports
Information Director. He joins the
department following a four-and-a-half
year stint at South Carolina State
University where he served in the same
capacity.
During his tenure at South Carolina
State University, Goodwin was the
primary athletic media relations contact
for soccer, volleyball, women’s
basketball, women’s golf, softball, and
bowling. He also assisted with
football, cross country, track & field,
men’s basketball, and men’s golf.
Goodwin also served as the primary
designer for all SCSU media guides and
publications.
Prior to joining the South Carolina
State University staff, Goodwin spent
one year as the assistant sports
information director for Charleston
Southern University where he carried out
similar duties. He also spent one year
as a desk editor at
The
Times and Democrat.
Goodwin is a 1997 graduate of Charleston
Southern University with a Bachelor of
Arts degree in English with a minor in
Secondary Education.

Zona commented on the hiring of Trevin
Goodwin.
Goodwin began his duties on January 2,
2007 and will serve as the primary media
contact for WSSU Lady Rams basketball
for the remainder of the 2006-07 season.
