(WASHINGTON, DC – December 18,
2006) The accolades for Bowie
State University senior running back
Nathaniel Queen continue to
roll in. This time, the Pigskin
Club of Washington, DC has selected
Queen as their 2006 Metropolitan
College Player of the Year.
Queen,
led the conference (CIAA) in rushing
yards (1,212) and scored eight
touchdowns. The highlight of Queen’s
season occurred October 28th against
Virginia Union University. In that
game, the senior running back from
Seat Pleasant, MD (Fairmont Heights
HS), rushed for 213 yards, setting a
new BSU single game record.
Queen
will officially be recognized at a
black tie affair during the 69th
Annual Awards Dinner – Friday,
January 19, 2007 at the Capital
Hilton Hotel in Washington, DC. For

Team and CIAA Offensive Back of the
Week (11/4/06) and 2006 Daktonics
