University senior All-American Celeste
Trahan has been named CIAA Player of the
Week as announced by the CIAA Office
Monday morning.
The
Player of the Week honor is the
thirteenth of her career. In the Lady
Vikings’ loss to Johnson C. Smith on
Saturday, the Stockton, Ca native
registered 21 points, 18 rebounds, 4
steals and a blocked shot. The
double-double (she has one in each game
this season) represents the 70th
of her career as she moved into 11th
on the CIAA’s All-Time scoring list with
1,771 points and is one rebound shy of
1,300 for her career. She leads the CIAA
in scoring (23.6ppg), rebounding
(17.4rpg) and blocks (1.75) She also
ranks second in field goal percentage, 8th
in steals, 15th in free throw
percentage and first minutes played.
The
Lady Vikings (4-4) will close out 2007
when they host The Apprentice School on
Wednesday, December 19. Game time is
