Dee Stokes Released As Head Women’s Basketball Coach At WSSU Chris Zona 02/09/10 WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Dee Stokes, head women’s basketball coach at Winston-Salem State University since 2006, has been released effective immediately. Future leadership plans are currently being finalized and will be announced when confirmed.  With 16 years in coaching, Stokes had announced prior to the start of the 2009-10 season that this would be her last as she planned to step down to focus on other opportunities for her life.
