LONGWOOD, Va. – Winston-Salem State University junior forward Paul Davis has been named to the All-Independent Men’s Basketball Second-Team as announced on Tuesday evening. Davis led the Rams with 10.9 points and 7.8 rebounds per game and was chosen as one of the 10 best Independent Conference players in the nation in voting by both the Independent head coaches and sports information directors.

Committee has announced the participants of the 2010 Indoor Championships and senior Allodin Fothergill (New Hempstead, N.Y.) was one of 568 participants to qualify for the event, held March 12-13. Fothergill currently ranks 11th in the nation in the 400-meter dash with a time of 46:45,
which he ran at the Intercollegiate Association of Amateur Athletes of America Championships last weekend.

Panthers Earn No. 5 Seed in South Regional

ATLANTA, Ga. – The NCAA announced Sunday that Clark Atlanta University’s (CAU) men’s basketball team has earned a spot in the NCAA Division-II Tournament as the number five seed in the South Regional. The Panthers last visit to the Division-II tournament was in 1996 in a 71-91 first-round loss to South Carolina Upstate.
