Lady Aggies’ Smalley, Calvin and Lady Pirates’ Perry Earn Weekly Honors
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., February 8, 2010- North Carolina A&T senior Lamona Smalley was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday. Shaw University to Retire Flip Murray’s Number 22 on February 15

(Raleigh, NC) – Due to a scheduling conflict, the ceremony to honor Shaw University great Ronald “Flip” Murray, who starred with the Shaw Bears in the 2000-01 and 2001-02 seasons, has been moved to Monday, February 15. Prior to the Bears men’s basketball game against Johnson C. Smith, Murray will be celebrated and his jersey raised to the rafters at C. C. Spaulding Gymnasium on the Shaw campus.
FSU BOWLING MAKES HISTORY AT CIAA TOURNAMENT

SALISBURY, NC – While impressive, Fayetteville State’s 15-0 record at the CIAA’s second Western Division bowling tournament this past weekend might not have been its biggest accomplishment.
The Broncos (36-12, 27-0 CIAA) became the first team in conference history to average 900 or more pins over the span of 10 games. FSU nailed 9,005 total pins and bowled 22 200-games during the tournament.  FSU Photo
