Itta Bena, Miss. --- Early errors seemed to take the fight out of the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils baseball team as they suffered a 14-0 rout to the Lions of Southeastern Louisiana in their home finale.

The Lions took advantage of three errors by the Delta Devils to jump out to a 3-0 lead after the first inning, they would go on to break out the bats and pound out 11 more runs over the next six innings to defeat Valley for the second time this season.

At the plate the Delta Devils would only muster three hits with Sean Bard, Ben Turner and Greg Dees each recording a single.  On the mound starter Andy Moss suffered the loss giving up seven runs in three and two-thirds innings.

For the Lions Bryan Fritcher paved the way going three-for-four with three runs scored and an RBI. On the mound Rene LeBlanc picked up the win after four innings of work.

The Delta Devils will return to action this weekend when they travel to Montgomery, Ala. to take on the Hornets of Alabama State in a three game series. -MVSU-
