Birmingham, AL – The Southwestern Athletic Conference has several teams ranked nationally in the NCAA Division I baseball stats.

 In the team statistics, Jackson State University is ranked number one in Division I in triples per game (0.70), third in stolen bases per game (2.47), and fifth in batting average (.345) and scoring (8.9 ppg.). The Braves of Alcorn State University is ranked fourth in stolen bases per game (2.46).

Individually, James Sims of Jackson State is ranked third in runs per game (1.47). Justin Kelly of Grambling State University is ranked fourth in stolen bases (0.78), while Marcus Davis is ranked ninth (0.71).
