VSU TO WEAR VIRGINIA TECH HATS IN THE NCAA FIRST ROUND Jim Junot 5/15/07 The Virginia State University baseball team will wear white Virginia Tech hats during the Trojans' games in the upcoming NCAA Tournament, VSU announced on Monday. VSU, champions of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association, will wear the hats in honor of the victims of the April 16 shooting on the Virginia Tech campus. This will mark the first appearance for the Trojans in the NCAA baseball tournament, and also the first time that a VSU baseball team has worn hats from another school in any kind of game. The NCAA Tournament begins on May 17 with the Trojans meeting Mount Olive College in the opening round at 7 p.m.
