VSU'S LOFTON NAMED CIAA SENIOR WOMAN ADMINISTRATOR OF THE YEAR

Tomorrow Lofton, Virginia State University's Senior Woman Administrator
and Assistant Athletic Director for Special Events and Logistics, has
been named the CIAA Senior Woman Administrator of the Year, the CIAA
announced on Tuesday in Durham, N.C.
 
Lofton, in her second year of being VSU's SWA, assists in gender
equity/Title IX issues, oversees the VSU Student-Athlete Activity
Committee and is the coordinator of the VSU CHAMPS Life-Skills Program
as well as provided a female's perspective to the approach of
intercollegiate athletics at VSU.
 
Lofton, a native of Glen Allen, Va., graduated from Christopher Newport
University in 2004 and received her master's degree from Virginia
Commonwealth University in 2006.
