WSSU Department of Athletics to Hold Ram Red Booster Bash On March 20 Chris Zona 03/08/10 Eastway Plaza to host Ram Red Booster Bash; Free admission WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Winston-Salem State University Department of Athletics will take the excitement of Rams and Lady Rams athletics on the road for the Ram Red Booster Bash on Saturday, March 20, at the Eastway Plaza shopping center off of New Walkertown Road in Winston-Salem from noon until 3 p.m. The community event, which is free and open to the public, will offer current and future Ram fans a chance to enjoy the excitement of WSSU athletics along with the Red Sea of Sound March Band and the Powerhouse of Red & White cheerleaders. Director of Athletics William “Bill” Hayes, WSSU student athletes, coaches, athletic administrators and support staff also will be on hand to visit with alumni, fans, friends in the community. In addition to performances from the Red Sea of Sound Marching Band and the WSSU Red & White team cheerleaders, a DJ and a host of other entertainment and activities will provide fun for all. There will be a fish fry and other food for sale with all proceeds benefiting the student-athletes at WSSU. The event is being made possible through a partnership with the City of Winston-Salem and the Winston-Salem Chronicle, as well as a generous gift from the Winston-Salem Senior Golf Association.
