Grambling’s Rogers Named SWAC Coach of the Year Roderick W. Mosley 03/10/10 Harper Named Third-Team All-SWAC SHREVEPORT---Grambling State Lady Tigers head basketball coach Donnita Rogers was named Southwestern Athletic Conference women’s basketball coach of the year as announced by the conference media relations office. Rogers, in her second year at the helm of the Lady Tigers program, led Grambling to a 10-8 conference record this season including a seven-game mid-season winning streak that helped her squad secure the #4 seed in the 2010 Farmers Insurance SWAC Tournament. Also representing the Lady Tigers program is junior forward Kristen Harper. The Chicago, IL native was named to the All-SWAC third team after averaging 7.9 points per game while leading the conference in three-point field goal percentage and three-point field goals made. The teams were voted on by the schools’ coaches, sports information departments, and selected media.
