WSSU Distance Runners Impressive at Reebok Raleigh Relays Trevin Q. Goodwin 03/27/10 Barnes, Rigaud close two-day event with strong efforts RALEIGH, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams and Lady Rams track & field teams had some great efforts to close out the 2010 Reebok Raleigh Relays, Saturday. The event was highlighted by some strong performances, especially the WSSU distance runners. Sophomore Aaron Barnes set the tone for the Rams with a fourth place finish in the men’s 3000m steeplechase. He posted a 10:03.83 in the event. WSSU freshman Manuela Rigaud paced the Lady Rams, finishing 46th in the women’s 1500m run. She ran her second straight five-minute effort in the event. She posted a 5:00.05. The Rams and Lady Rams will return to action next weekend when the team takes the short drive to Greensboro, N.C. to take part in the Aggie Relays.
