Wisconsin-Oshkosh graduate Willie Jude II joins the NCCU Athletics staff

DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University Department of Athletics announced the hiring of Willie Jude II as assistant athletics director for development on Friday. Jude will oversee all annual giving and major gift activity for the athletics department.

Jude is a 2002 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, where he received a bachelor’s degree in exercise and fitness management with a minor in business. He officially joined the NCCU family after serving as the Gray “W” Varsity Club Coordinator at Washington State University, where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the athletic alumni organization. 

While at Washington State, Jude was involved in the management and membership development of the Gray “W” Varsity Club, while providing instrumental involvement in the Washington State University Athletic Foundation. He also served on the Faculty and Staff Annual Fund Drive committee. 

Jude, a native of Milwaukee, Wis., competed as a dual-sport student-athlete in football and track and field at Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Following the completion of his athletic career, he took on several coaching jobs, ranging from strength and conditioning to football and track and field, while pursuing his dream of working in athletic administration with several positions within intercollegiate athletic departments. 

He continued his education at Washington State, where he earned a master’s degree in Higher Education with an emphasis in Athletics Administration in 2004. Jude is a current member of the National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD) and is a two-time recipient of the NAADD Diversity Award.

Jude is the son of Willie and Patricia Jude. He has an older brother Demond, younger brother Brent and a younger sister Konita. Jude resides in Durham, N.C.
