Union University placed four players in double-figures as the Panthers
downed Fayetteville State University 82-77 on Monday, December 12, in Fayetteville, N.C.
VUU's Damion Harris, Wesley Simmons and Calvin Brown scored 12 points apiece while teammate Cordero Holt added 10 points to
power the Panthers to the win. Holt also had seven rebounds in the game.
At one point in the second half, the Panthers went 18-for-18 from the free throw line. VUU shot 76.9 from the charity stripe for the game.
Fayetteville State was led by Jarmel Baxter's 23 points.
The win raised VUU's record to 5-4 overall while Fayetteville State dropped to 3-5 on the season.
Virginia Union now returns to the friendly confines of Barco-Stevens Hall to face Central State University on Tuesday, December 13 at 7:30 p.m.
