WSSU baseball team gives back to Winston-Salem, N.C. community

WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams baseball team made time to give back, this December when members of the Rams baseball team assisted the Fur Ever Friends of North Carolina Adoption & Outreach Program. Members of the Rams baseball team spent two weekends in November, assembling cat shelters for the organization.

“Any time that we can assist a local organization in improving the welfare of the community it becomes one of our top priorities,” WSSU head baseball coach Kevin Ritsche said, “The boys enjoyed themselves and were always happy to give back.”

The feral cat shelters were built as a means to provide shelter for stray animals in need. Fur Ever Friends is a local group that connects with other animal welfare organizations and agencies throughout the area in an effort to better the lives for all dogs and cats in our community.

The effort was one of several community service projects completed by the Rams baseball team in an effort to give back to the Winston-Salem, N.C. community.
