GREENSBORO, N. C. - Dr. Jerono P. Rotich, associate professor in the Department of Human Performance and Leisure Studies, and Dr. So, visiting assistant professor in the School of Education at North Carolina A&T State University, co-authored two peer reviewed papers in the November 2011 issue of the International Journal of Asian Society for Physical Education, Sport and Dance (Vol. 9, No.2). The papers are “Gender-based differences in the resource use patterns for physical Activity in African American students” and “Gender Differences in the Barriers to Being Active in African American Students.”

Rotich also presented two papers at the Fourth International Conference for Kenyan Scholars and Studies in Bowling Green, Ohio—“Kenyan Women Diaspora in the Professorate: Surviving the Competing Demands” and “Research Funding in Kenya: Possibilities and Opportunities”—and she presented a paper at the Annual Kenyans in Diaspora Conference, Washington, D.C.—“Women Re-defining Kenya’s Vision 2030: Role of Kenyans in Diaspora.”
