ATLANTA— The rosters for the inaugural NFLPA Collegiate All-Star Bowl were recently announced with three players from the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference being selected in Fort Valley State University punter Marquette King along with Morehouse College offensive lineman Jarvis Canty and defensive lineman Chigbo Anunoby.

The AstroTurf NFLPA Collegiate Bowl will feature 100 top draft prospects in an all-star game at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. The game will kick off at 3 p.m. PT on January 21 and will be televised on the NBC Sports Network (formerly Versus).

King, a native of Macon, GA, had 60 punts for 2,582 yards, averaging 43 yards per punt which led the SIAC. The 6-1, 185-pounder, who was an All-SIAC first team selection in 2011, ranked fifth in Division II in punting average and had a long of 80 yards.

Canty, a native of Great Falls, SC, anchored an offensive line that helped Morehouse lead the SIAC in total offense, rushing offense, and scoring. In 2011, Canty and the rest of the Maroon Tiger offensive line gave up the second-fewest sacks in the SIAC with 17. The 6-7, 330-pound Canty was a two-time All-SIAC second team selection.

Anunoby, a native of Jefferson City, MO, finished 2011 with 47 tackles, 24 solos, and four sacks. The 6-6, 300-pounder also had a team-high 13 tackles for loss and helped lead a Maroon Tiger defense that led the SIAC in rushing defense while finishing second in total defense and scoring defense. Anunoby was a first team All-SIAC selection as a senior.

King and Anunoby will compete on the National team while Canty will compete on the American team. This will be the second post-season all-star game for all three players, who also participated in the 2011 HBCU Senior Bowl in December.
